If he could have, Liam would have climbed to the top of this tree. He was so thrilled when we walked around the lake to discover this tree, just the right size to latch onto.
Even though he was unable to do much more than swing his legs, he felt such a sense of accomplishment, and he talked about it all day.
We should all be proud of our accomplishments. What seems minimal to you may seem phenomenal to someone who is observing you.
Liam's baby brother, Alex, will be arriving soon. Ashley has had contractions for four days. Her body is getting ready to deliver another great grandson to this nana who can hardly wait.
We had a diaper shower (and other things) for her. Liam gave his baby brother a gift. He was with me one day and I let him select a silly Halloween shirt for baby Alex. He chose it because he liked the bright orange color. I allowed it because I like what was imprinted on the front: PLEASE DON'T SCARE ME. I POOP EASILY.
I decorated the cake to match the woodland creatures napkins and baby shower decor. I enjoy making cakes for family. I feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment when I complete one, but I wouldn't want to do it for a living. I must say, it was delicious.
Tell me something you have accomplished lately. No matter how trivial it may have seemed to you.

I organized our spare bedroom/office. It really needed it.
I am sure Liam will be a wonderful big brother.
You take the cake! Such a sweet thing to do for your family!
I made two batches of Chex Mix this week. One to send to The Pony as he moved into his new apartment at the University of Oklahoma, and the other for personal use and bribes for rides to the casino.
Well, I am real close to the end of this Halo Top Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. That's an accomplishment, right?
:)
Liam is adorable!
Hi Linda. Your cakes are fabulous. You really have a talent there, in addition to your writing talent. Let's see. What have I accomplished lately? Hmmmmm I drove and got a "new to me" brass and glass plant stand from one of my sisters. It was very dusty and dirty so I hauled it into the house, took it apart, washed everything, and now it's looking dandy on the enclosed sideporch. Yippah! Have a great day today and a good week ahead. Susan
The shirt Liam picked out for Alex sounds cute. You did a wonderful job decorating the cake! I hope all goes well with the arrival of the new baby. Such an exciting time!
As for my recent accomplishment, I have faithfully done all of the exercises assigned to me every day by my physical therapist for the last two weeks even though some of the activities were difficult and painful. I am fighting back to become stronger after a knee injury complicated by the fact that I also have severe arthritis in that joint. I'm not taking stairs very well yet, but one day at a time. :)
You write, you get published, you create fabulous games to engage children, you decorate cakes . . . you're killing me here, Linda. Making me feel like such a slacker. lol Thanks for the Liam pic. He always makes my day.
Sent off a query and synopsis last week to three publishers and have been giving myself a writing break ever since. Hopefully will be back in the saddle within a few days.
