What are you allergic to?
You say you have no known food or prescription drug allergies?
Think about what you deliberately avoid and share a couple.
I used to teach at a school that served children with food allergies. A news crew came to film my class. You wouldn't believe the chatter among classmates who had no food allergies. When they were interviewed they named all sorts of things they were "allergic" to; bedtime, spinach etc.

Those former students of yours might still have hope for such interviews later in life! I didn't know of my allergies until my mid-20s and later.
Penicillin after having wisdom teeth pulled sent me to the ER with a blotchy rash all over. Years later, on the 9th day of a 10-day course of cephalosporin pills for an ear ailment, I broke out in red spots on my face, neck, trunk (no, I'm not an elephant, that's what the doctor called it) and arms.
Lanolin also gives me a rash, which I found out by using that Eucerin cream that worked so well for my babies' diaper rash. No rash on my hands, but I had it on wrists and elsewhere I'd used it like lotion. The only ingredient I saw in it that might have caused a rash was lanolin, so I diagnosed myself, and quit using Eucerin on anything but a baby's butt.
Hi Linda. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for your visits. Susan
I don't have any known allergies, but like your students, there are certainly things I avoid. Sauerkraut comes to mind. :)
My biggest allergy comes in the form of POISON IVY! All I have to do is look at it, and I break out in itchy blisters. Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration, but truth is I can get it from petting a dog that's brushed against it, or handling the clothes of someone who has walked through it. Ugh!
No true allergies that I can think of, though my daughter is riddled with them. She is allergic to tree fruits! So no apples, no pears, etc. When she was in high school we went up to Virginia over spring break to visit my sister and my daughter had to stay indoors the whole time. One step outside and her eyes swelled shut. She suffers allergies here in Florida, too, but very mild by comparison to what she has dealt with in the past.
