Present Letter is the name of my friend, Lynn Obermoeller's new blog. Please stop by and see what a writer can accomplish with one sentence -a complete, heartfelt letter to her deceased mother accompanied by a photo and beautiful sketch done by her daughter. Please welcome her at

See if you can do it; write a sentence that could be perceived as a complete letter. I used to be so guilty of ten page letters. Brevity is an art. Here is mine:
Dear Tracey,
I am happy that you met Dave and have finally stopped searching Ebay nightly for Henry, your favorite childhood warm fuzzy and much-loved stuffed animal.
Hugs and Kisses,
Love,
Mom
Readers, Will you send me one?
I live in St. Louis, MO, but my heart and soul hang out at the beach. I am a multi-genre, award winning writer and member of St. Louis Writer's Guild. I am a seasoned pre-k teacher, wife, mother, Nana to nine. Hopefully, something I say will make you smile, further your writing career or inspire you to write from the heart too. Stop by often, email me at billin7@yahoo.com. or Google "Linda O'Connell Chicken Soup" to find my various works. Twitter, WriterLindaO.
I am co creator of this PG-13 rated anthology to be released March 2014. Submissions are open. CLICK ON IMAGE for details on how to submit your true, sassy, wacky family story. Tell on your sibling, write about a humorous or crazy incident, you know, the stories you reminisce about at your family gatherings. Not looking for sweet and sappy stories, but fun, true stories 1,000-2,000 words. Previously submitted stories are still under consideration. Be patient, it takes time to develop a book. There are many titles in development. Check out the list and submit to some of the other books.

Dear Linda,
You are such an inspiration - we need more like you!
Love, Lynn
Dear Linda: One of the best parts of my life has been discovering blogland and meeting great people, particularly writers, like yourself! Sincerely, Susan (P.S. Can that be perceived as a complete letter?)
Susan, Such a lovely "letter", and I feel the same way!
Dear Linda: I think of you as my "blogger beach buddy" and enjoy your visits to my blog almost as much as I enjoy my visits to yours. God bless, Lisa.
Dear Linda,
I lost an hour of sleep last night, so my brain is on vacation until tomorrow!
Lisa, I echo your sentence, uh, I mean sentiments.
Pat, You are forgiven. I feel the same way when we "fall back". Love the spring forward though. It gives me more time in the evening to be outdoors.
Dear Linda,
I have grandiose dreams that I'm not quite ready to reach, but I'm so grateful for your constant encouragement to go ahead and stand on my tip toes.
Love,
Beth
Beth, keep stretching; you will attain those dreams one day.
