Imagine this!

Imagine having a loving family, security and food, then being instantaneously homeless and alone. That is what happened to many of the animals of Joplin that survived the tornado.

Pat Wahler has a love for animals and a passion for helping them. Please check out her blog,CRITTER ALLEY. Click HERE

Tell Pat what you think of Bogie and Indie, her fur babies. Tell others about Critter Alley.

Imagine reuniting with an old love, a first love - the memories and feelings, as intense as your grip on the steering wheel.

Fantasies abound about finding an old love, but read what happens when your old love's new lover contacts you and even sends you a photo.

Imagine actually taking the job and shoving it. Imagine a road trip across country with your mutt, no not your grungy boyfriend, but your pooch. Jean Whatley is days away from her coast to coast adventure. She's scared, wouldn't you be? Please visit her blog,HERE to find out how you can contribute to her endeavor, even if it's just an atta girl!

I'm ticked off at you. ANOTHER monkey on my back because of you! I checked out Gerry's blog, read a few posts and am hooked. Thanks a lot!

I have tried to follow Jean. Is it possible? Perhaps I'm doing it wrong. It gave me some message, like I would not get notices of updates or some such nonsense.

I'm really busy right now with son-stuff and trivia night stuff, but this summer we need to at least get together at TD's. I have something else up my sleeve, too...

Last weekend the Adopt a Thon was held in Joplin. I did not dare go over as DH is not ready for a dog and I am not sure I am either even though I long for a dog pal! In horrible heat, over 1000 people lined up for dogs and cats. Isn't that something! They came from far away even. One little girl named her dog Joplin. I wonder how many dogs were named Twister that day??? :)

Thanks for the links...especially Jean Whatleys. I love her writing, but alas, for some reason I can't update my laptop to quicktime...and seem unable to find a way to follow her blog; soo frustrated here.

Yeah, I read Pat's blog post. Then I clicked on a link and began looking at all the older/senior doggies in the St. Louis area that need homes. In my heart and mind, I "adopted" a sibling for Vern...but then my senses came back! As long as I'm living and can take care of a dog, though, I will have one...and he/she will ALWAYS BE A DOG FROM A SHELTER OF SOME KIND! I don't believe in buying one!

Wow, Linda. I'll have to set aside a bit of time to check out those posts. Thanks for the heads up. Susan
