FYI

A third of the month is gone, like my mind. My link didn't work and then my post disapppeared, so let me try again.

Click HERE to see how you can contribute your story about mothers for possible acceptance. Winners will read their  work aloud. This is an opportunity for local writers. So write the nitty-gritty and submit soon. I'm on this one!

Here is a great free newsletter you should sign up for:Writing World.com

My complaint today: Hollywood Casinos sent me an email thanking me for moving up to a MUCH higher level. Seeing as I spend twenty bucks there occasionally, I couldn't believe it. Seems I was awarded all sorts of gifts, a cool shirt and other incentives. I called Bill to come see. He read it over and said, "Hmmm, when did you change your name to Dean?" Obviously these computers are messing with me today.

Hi Dean.....oh, I mean Linda. hee hee Sometimes computers really are a pain, aren't they? But what oh what would we do without them? No blogging? Perish the thought.

Take care and hope you are having a good day. Susan

Who said computers don't have a mind of their own?

Hey did you hear anything about that book of funny stories? It is probably over now.

River City just sent me $255 of incentives, but I have no idea what they are. I think I have to check it out and download something. Seeing as how I narrowly missed being carjacked from their parking garage by two weeks and a day, I may or may not do so.

The mother's thing sounds like it's right up my alley, but I shall have to listen to my own mother, who always said not to make a spectacle of myself, and refrain. I am not yet ready to take my standup act on the road.

Thanks for sharing the call for submissions. And...do you get to keep the gifts?

Thanks for the info about the call for submissions. I don't know what I'll send, but I'll work on something.

Just when I said I'm going to seriously start working on my book(s) and to stop submitting, I think... hmmm, maybe just one more...
