Dear Sheila, my best, oldest, dearest friend,

Click on the link to read my latest published story about my oldest, dearest, best friend. That is how I begin each letter to her.

I must tell you, there is another story being spawned, because on the day that I received an acceptance on this story, my friend's husband called to tell me her second brain surgery, 20 years after the first, was a success, and she has reclaimed her speech and is more cognizant.

If you don't mind, would you please take a moment and leave a comment on their website, also? Thank you for your continued support. Sometimes I think I must bore you all with my day to day meanderings. Then every once in a while, I find a gem to share with you such as this magazine essay. Hugs and happiness to each of you.

Such wonderful news that your friend has regained her speech and is now more cognizant. What the two of you share is definitely priceless.

Hi Linda,
First of all, thanks for visiting my pages, and saying superb lovely things about my poetry writing.
Linda, I am truly impressed and flattered all together with your messages, plus your outstanding writing skills, and the layout on your weblog. Anyway, keep up the wonderful quality writing, and with your loving ways towards friendship. I pray for your friend to get healed soon.
I shall return to read more of your posts, sweetheart.
The link you have provided is so interesting. Thanks for sharing your world with us! God bless.
All my loving on your way.

Hi Linda,
I am so happy that I have found you in Blogland.
Sandie, our common friend, sent me the link to your wonderful blog.
I have just read the passage you shared with us. I love it!
This is the sort of tales I am pleased to read. I would love to become an Author, a Novelist, although I do not have the right tools to do it. I am a disabled lady. The father of my daughter inflicted so much damaged to my body and mind that left me disabled for a lifetime. I can hardly walk, talk, read, write for a long time, stand without falling, keep a conversation for long, etc. I suffer from PTSD, bipolar disorders, allergy, asthma, fainting issues, arthritis, lynphatic system disorders that cause bad swellings to my limbs, incontinence at times. My blood vessels are not working properly, so my brain does not get enough oxygen and blood, due to my asthma attacks. I can hardly breathe. This is the reason why I am unable to update my blogs too often, plus do writings in general. I am unwell and ill with chronic issues. I am unable to travel alone back home, so I would need an escort to take me home. I am overseas and unwell. I am barely a survivor, yet not for long. I am looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face soon.
I apologize for my sad words, sweetheart Linda. I love your writings and poetry. I wish I could do more, but I can't.
God bless you, Linda.
All the Best,
Poet Starry Dawn.

Beautifully written story Linda. I've left a comment over there. So touching about you and your friend.

Just wondering, in that picture of you two...did you consciously hold your arms and hands the same way for the pose? Or are you just that in tune with each other?

Forget to mention on my comment at Sasee that I love the picture! Great story... as always.

And I've read all the blogs since I've left town... Elvis... I've been to that wall downtown. An artist friend has a painting on it. There are so many places to see in St. Louis and free to boot. Thanks for sharing all your stories!

Great strides being made in medical science; I'm glad your forever friend is much better now and hope for even more improvement.
I clicked over and read your story, it made me happy that she has such a treasure as you for a friend.

I left a comment but used my iPhone, which politely decided to auto correct one of my words. Just wanted you to know that I really do know how to spell...
