My simple decor

Some women go to fancy stores to purchase home decor. I go to thrift shops and yard sales and am just as happy with my slightly crooked wall groupings. It's really the camera angle. Click on the picture of the baby and it will enlarge. Read the caption. I tell all of the grandchildren that it's Paw-Paw Bill and he was so cute his mom had to hang that sign on him. It's not him. These displays are on either side of the window in our guest room. Tomorrow is Saturday, and you know what that means, yard sales. Have you ever found a simple treasure at a yard sale? Tell me about it.

Hi Linda....Are you kidding? I've found so many treasures at yard sales that my house is filled with them! ha! Every single room in the house has yard sale goodies. My tea cup rack was one of the best finds....only $8 and I've seen them in stores for quadruple that price. I LOVE yard sales but have found that I love estate sales even more! Take care and hope you find LOTS of treasures tomorrow. Can't wait to read about them on your blog. Susan

Very nice, Linda. Your window treatment that peeks around the corner of the picture is nice too. That lilac and green look so fresh and cool!

Susan,
Yes, I know you find great bargains at sales. You inspiredme to show some of my things.

Hi Claudia,
Hubby is lucky; it doesn't take much to make me happy. A few years ago I searched the town over for a bedspread I liked. I was willing to pay more than a hundred dollars, then I found a matching set at a yard sale a block from my house. Bedspread, matching drapes, pillow shams, dust ruffle. Couldn't beat that for eight dollars!

I love wall groupings like yours:) I haven't ever gone to too many yardsales--for one---I hate getting up so early to get the good deals.
