Three decades ago, I stumbled into the wrong college class and sat in the empty classroom for ten minutes before I realized I was in the right room number, but the wrong tower building. Then, I had to slink into the real class, and wow! did I stumble upon a wonderful writing instructor and some talented writers.

Stumble? I stumbled into a deck chair leg first thing yesterday morning and now have a small black toe! It swelled and hurt so bad yesterday, the pain went up to my hip. But it is better today...
Thanks for the site...True Romance writers are having a hard time collecting pay right now...just FYI. I thought CakeTrain was interesting. They pay nothing and yet they won't use anything previously published. I thought Trailer LIfe looked interesting...have you seen that publication yourself?

I did that to my toe the night before the first day on a new job. I hobbled for two weeks at school. Hope your foot is b etter. Yes, I have seen Trailer Life, I think it is a big directory with a listing of interesting locales and articles about camping. Good luck.
Hey Linda, thanks for that link. I stumbled upon a writer this weekend who overheard me talking. We shared (like you did here) a few resources and she said, "I'm so glad I eavesdropped on your conversation!"
I love when I stumble upon new writing friends, whether it's virtually like you, or live and in person. Makes the writing road easier to travel, when you find good companions.
I believe that there are no mistakes. But "Stumbling" doesn't necessarily mean "mistake," does it? It can mean lacking grace, or a delay due to obstacles. That said, my whole life is a bit of a stumble!

yes, stumble can end up being a very good thing. And you have stumbled into a literary goldmine.
My favorite thing to stumble on is a good book! I love it when I step out of my usual pool of authors and find a new fave.

I'm always stumbling into things...walls, low hanging tree branches, car doors. Hey! Maybe I could start writing a "Perils of Pat" series???
