Sometimes you have to be creative

Had I given each of them an unpeeled apple, they would have nibbled bites and wasted a lot. Instead, I peeled the apples and inserted corn on the cob holders into the top and bottom, and Nicole and Nicholas nibbled like bunnies.

It's the same way with writing. If you have struggled long and hard with a scene and still can't get it right, do the unexpected.

What a wonderful idea (as far as the apple) and when it comes to writing, we need to hear that message over and over.

Great idea, Linda! The kiddos look like they're enjoying a new way to eat an apple. I need to find that same enjoyment when I sit at the keyboard!

Very cute! As I read your last sentences, I thought they were going to say: It's the same way with writing. If you have struggled long and hard with a scene and still can't get it right...just nibble away at it, bit by bit, word by word! :D

Thanks for inspiring me yet again.

And now I have a new use for those corn holders that I bought just for cupcakes!

Good advice, but I am excited about the apple idea!! I will have to call my daughter-in-law tonight, she has the picky eaters.
