The wedding was beautiful, the day was beautiful, the bride was beautiful.
Justin and Ashley (Nana's girl)
After the bride and groom danced, it was Papa Bill's turn. Ashley chose a song that they used to dance to when she was four years old, Little Bitty Pretty One...and you should have seen them spin and fast dance to that 1950's hit. I cried remembering how he used to spin her and make her giggle when she was little girl. It really was a night of old memories and a time for creating new ones.

What a pretty bride Ashley was. Seeing a granddaughter get married is proof that you were successful as a parent, because your child's little girl is now an adult...
I hope to soon see a photo or two of how stunning Nana was--if not on your blog, at least at a WWWP meeting?
And your bit about Bill made me wonder...What about a story about Bill serving as "parent" at times over the years? So many step-parents do a marvelous job of filling in as a parent, even though it is a tenuous position as well as sometimes thankless.
Think about it...
What a wonderful eventbthis must have been! Happy for you
Beautiful. I always cry at weddings!
A nice looking couple...so full of hope and looking towards the future...am sure the dance caused a small look back...hard but part of it all too! Such a fun day for you as well as the couple...

Beautiful bride and funny pic of the little one under the dress!
Congrats to you, Linda, and the happy couple!
I love weddings. :)
What a happy, cute couple. So sweet that your girl remembered that little dance from her childhood. This is the stuff of life, isn't it!
Aww, how lovely. Ashley looks radiant.
Oh, Linda, I can imagine how your grandmother's heart filled with joy and immense happiness. Imagine a granddaughter getting married! Wow, I'm waiting for my first to be born! Thanks for sharing. Susan
