would call her from his home phone as soon as he got there. He called repeatedly but got no response He darted back thinking the worse. There she sat at the table. He asked her why she didn't answer the phone when it rang. She looked confused. "It never rang once. It kept playing the same song over and over."

Oh Boy, this is a good one, Linda!!! :)
I'm so smart I don't have one (yet). Hope my little flip lasts forever. lol

Thanks for the chuckle, Linda!
My phone is a flip, too, but I have learned how to text on it. Now I'm wondering how much easier it might be with a real keyboard...
I hate the smart phone. It used to be so easy to answer or dial my old phone while driving. Push a button. Push seven buttons. Buttons I could feel, without taking my eye off the road. Now I can't. Slide my finger to unlock. Push imaginary buttons to get to the dialing part. Guess where the numbers are. And my smart phone DOES NOT WANT TO RECOGNIZE MY TOUCH. It's like I'm invisible.
The world is a much safer place, though, with both my hands on the steering wheel.
I have a smart phone and now I have a smart car. When did electronics become so well educated?

I'm with Val. I'm struggling, but almost daily, I make a mistake. That's what you get when you pair a smart phone with a dumb human...
Linda--your story was funny.
LOL! Too funny. :)
I don't have a smart phone, but I hate the one I have. Still trying to figure it out. My old cell was pretty simple, held up to going through the wash and rinse cycle in the pocket of my pants. The second time it did not survive.....
ha ha ha ha ha That was a good one, Linda. I have a smart phone but don't know how to work HALF the stuff on it. Duh! Susan
I'm not smart enought to have a smart phone, but I'm working on it.
When I get a smart phone, I'm sure it's going to make me feel dumb too!
What a great quip. You should send that one to Reader's Digest!
