Fall festival time

Fall festivals aren't what they used to be. No more kiddie rides. Almost every community in the St. Louis area had an event this past weekend. This festival had a climbing rock wall, a gigantic inflatable slide and bucking bull.

Then we spied this poor guy who got dunked everytime someone hit the bulls-eye. It was 65 degrees.  Fun-fun-fun on a beautiful fall weekend. Did you do  anything interesting?

I do love Festivals like this I must admit. There's usually always lots to look at and various entertainment. My weekend was really boring, which is quite unusual. Still, it was good to just relax and catch up on things. Oh, we did hold a fund raising event on Friday evening for the local Children's Hospice, which was a great success :)

I went out to lunch on Sunday with my daughter and granddaughter. We stretched lunch out for three hours--a delightful afternoon...

Interesting? No. Just the usual, eat, sleep, blog. Made up for it today though. Spent the entire day doing stuff I'd neglected all weekend.

Oh no. That right there is the stuff of nightmares in my book. Who signs up to be dunked? I never understood why someone would willingly subject themselves to that. I guess we all have our own deal breakers. I'm happy to cough up a few bucks to try and hit the bulls-eye, though. It's all for a good cause, right?

I didn't really do anything interesting over the weekend, but I love fall! I just posted a poem that came to me yesterday morning when I looked out the window and saw the leaves scattered upon my neighbor's roof.

If you can call staining and waxing cabinets interesting, then I had a fascinating weekend!
