This past week it seemed like everything I read on Facebook from my friends and acquaintances had something to do with their loved ones or pets being seriously ill or dying. I prayed for all of them. I believe in the power of prayer.
Today our family needs prayers, but I am not posting it on FB. My son had a motorcycle accident. He was riding his dirt bike on trails at a riding park with his buddies, and he hit a boulder and went airborne, knocked himself out and broke several ribs. He's lucky it wasn't worse.
About 14 years ago, he had a serious motorcycle accident coming home from work one night. He was hospitalized, but he recovered. He thinks this time he also knocked some sense into himself. He put his bike and trailer up for sale. The doctor says he will be in a great deal of pain, but thinks he will be alright. I just don't know if I will. A mother never stops worrying about her kids.
Appreciate any healing thoughts/prayers for Jason. At least he wasn't on the streets on a big motorcycle this time. Thanks everyone.

Oh wow Linda. Thank God it wasn't worse!! I hope he has a speedy recovery and stays away from the motorbikes :)
Will pray for you and your family. Thankful it wasn't worse.
Thank goodness he decided to give this hobby up! Always a silver lining in that cloud, just have to look for it. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.
Linda, sorry again to hear about this. I know what you mean about not posting everything on Facebook. I do appreciate your kind support this week during my "crisis" as well. Please take care of yourself, and my prayers are with your son.
So glad that he is going to be okay, and that he's getting rid of that hobby.
Gosh, those motorcycles and ATV-thingies scare the you-know-what out of me.
Of course, I'm honored to hold your son - and all who love him - in my thoughts and prayers!
Sending healing prayers your way. No matter how old they get, they will always be our babies.

Linda--My husband had a motorcycle for a short phase in his life (and he was in his early 50's). He sold it after he was run off the road by a driver who saw him, and kept edging him off the road and onto the shoulder.
I hope Jason's "smart moment" sticks with him. There is no protection for the rest of your body (assuming people wear helmets) and I hope his recovery goes smoothly and without any bumps (since he's had enough of THOSE).
Sending more prayers your way, Linda. So sorry to hear about Jason, but am glad the bike is for sale. And you are so right that moms never stop worrying.
Hi Linda. Thinking and praying for your son. Hope he is better. Thank God it wasn't worse. Hope your own day today goes well, too. Susan
Hope all goes well, Linda.
I'm so sorry to hear this, Linda. Prayers for him and for your family.
Thoughts and prayers winging their way now. I'm sorry for the accident, but happy he wasn't hurt more seriously.
Sending prayers and best wishes. Nobody ever tells you when you have children that you just have more complex matters to worry about when they grow up!
I do hope your son has a speedy recovery - and yes, we worry about our children no matter how old they are. Also read your previous blogs (I'm catching up) and you're so sweet to always take food to people, but it is sad that people have to fake that they are down on their luck. And don't know anything about that punch card thing.
I'm so glad he is okay! It's amazing he had TWO bad accidents, and I think the time is right to say "enough!" I know what you mean about worrying about our kids, no matter how old they are. We never stop being Mom.
Healing thoughts heading to Jason right now.
I used to ride a bike, just a little one and only had one accident in which I wasn't hurt. My brother wrecked three bikes without getting hurt himself, before he wised up and got a car instead. I was very glad when my son sold his two bikes.
