What a difference a day makes

Last weekend the tepmperature of 84 degrees broke all records, and then this week we had thundersnow which dumped 4-6 inches of heavy white stuff. We took these photos at Bee Tree Park last week.

Nature knits and purls maroon buds to every branch; the loamy earth awakens .

In a crook of the rippled lake still water cradles debris. Autumn’s discarded foliage clings to spring algae propagating in sunshine

golden as the finch that flew this nest, confused by four inches of unexpected snow.

Have we had some crazy weather or what? The best thing of all about snow in late March is that it will be gone in the blink of an eye!

Amen, Pat!

Hi Linda...Please do NOT send that snow east. No no no no no no. We are already thinking this is the year of "eternal winter."

Enjoyed your photos. Susan

Hi. Lovely photos and the composition of the second one is brilliant! I think everyone thinks that it's been a long winter this year and we're all patiently waiting for spring! Everything is coming alive in the garden again, and it's just wonderful to see it.

Isn't it amazing - 84 degrees one day and snow the next! Now fair either.

You captured some lovely images...A photographer as well as a writer!

I especially love the simplicity of the last photo.

Yes, I love spring too. We still have some snow in our yard - the stuff that glides off the roof and lands in a big pile. I'm not liking it too much.

Lovely pics! I'm still wondering if it's safe to put away the ice melt and my snow shovel. :)

Spring has definitely sprung here in Georgia. We had some very warm temps, in the high 70s and 80s, and now this week rainy and back in the 60s. Typical! But everything is blooming and looks gorgeous.

Hello to all of you. Spring's debut makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, and it allows me to put my warm and fuzzy nightgowns away. It has been nearly half a year of winter. Enough.

You are more optimistic than me...I'm still sporting the fuzzy nightgown look along with flannel sheets. But things are looking promising. The bank reader-board said 56 degrees here in Western Washington today. I'll take that!

Those pictures are almost as pretty as the wording. ;)
