Thanks to all who left comments on my blog yesterday. I do appreciate it. Although it sounded like I was going postal, I actually am well grounded and know that these things happen. I also believe the adage that good/bad things come in 'threes'. Well wouldn't you know, I received my third yesterday.
"I have not received your requested article, yet."
I sent it weeks ago. It must have wings; it's floating in cyberspace.
Life is a roller coaster ride, and now after three plunges I am on the upswing. I have learned that I won at Michael's blog, The Year of Writing Dangerously
I expect two great writer-related things to happen to me in the very near future.
In school I work on A-B-C's and my classroom motto is, Never say, I Can't. Always say, I can try!
In my writing I work on C-B-A's. My model for success is Conceive, Believe, Achieve!
I live in St. Louis, MO, but my heart and soul hang out at the beach. I am a multi-genre, award winning writer and member of St. Louis Writer's Guild. I am a seasoned pre-k teacher, wife, mother, Nana to nine. Hopefully, something I say will make you smile, further your writing career or inspire you to write from the heart too. Stop by often, email me at billin7@yahoo.com. or Google "Linda O'Connell Chicken Soup" to find my various works. Twitter, WriterLindaO.
I am co creator of this PG-13 rated anthology to be released March 2014. Submissions are open. CLICK ON IMAGE for details on how to submit your true, sassy, wacky family story. Tell on your sibling, write about a humorous or crazy incident, you know, the stories you reminisce about at your family gatherings. Not looking for sweet and sappy stories, but fun, true stories 1,000-2,000 words. Previously submitted stories are still under consideration. Be patient, it takes time to develop a book. There are many titles in development. Check out the list and submit to some of the other books.

I don't consciously call it a motto, but I try my best to "write what I know" - and then, make up the rest!
I can't think ofone right now - other then how you handle life is a choice. I like yours. Sandie
Besides BIC (Butt in Chair--which I'm not doing lately), I like Guy de Maupassant's quote, "Get black on white."
Hi JFC,
As you well know, I do write from the heart, but you made me laugh with rest of your response. Thanks for stopping by.
Sandie,
Life IS all about choices and also priorities.
Sioux,
BIC, I have to remember that one, and I do like the quote, because an idea does not write itself.
Congrats on your win.
The only poster I remember from high school hung on the wall of creative writing class. It said, "If you wish to be a writer, write." I still have to remind myself of those simple words.
