I will see clearly soon

I am forever misplacing my glasses. Sometimes I find them on my head but this time I can't find them anywhere. I am using an old pair of readers that are missing a nose pad.

On monday I am going for a comprehensive eye exam which will result in a pair of glasses. I'm not thrilled with having to wear them constantly.

A coworker showed me something on her cell phone, but I had to admit I couldn't actually see it.

"You need glasses," she said.

Then she told me she had eaten at a Chinese buffet. I commented that coincidentally, we had also.

"Oh but, yuck! The onion rings were so tough and the chicken had a weird taste," I said.

"What was wrong with them?"

"Well, they were actually calamari and frog legs. I ate octopus and frog legs! Eww! I am never going back there. You can have that place."

She asked, "Didn't they have the signs posted above each pan?"

"Well, yes, but ..."

"You couldn't read them? WHEN are you getting glasses?"

"Monday."

Cheering you on in your quest to see clearly! I am sure the benefits will outweigh the drawbacks in the long run. Just think, you can skip the frog's legs next time. ;)

Monday can't come soon enough! I spend lots of time searching for my glasses. I need them all the time ...... except for sewing. I cannot thread the needle on the machine with my bifocals on. I use tweezers and a small magnifying glass. This accounts for the reason I like to sew all the like colored items I can before changing thread colors. But, because I do spend lots of time searching, I bought two sets last time. I can usually locate one or the other .......

We all do this - misplacing our glasses.

Good Luck with your eye exam on Monday!

Yep, you definitely need glasses my friend!! Funny post.; Because I've always worn glasses, I don't like seeing myself without them. I feel as if all my personality has been taken away when I take them off. Strange, isn't it?! Have a lovely weekend over there.

Understand your feelings....I have bifocals but don't wear them like I should. They are a pain, I am always floating between the lines...but now am getting to where I can't see things close up at all...so....

ha ha ha Oh, Linda. You are too much. I actually like calimari, if they are fried correctly.

Here's to seeing clearly now! Good luck with the goggles. I finally admit I need glasses to read clearly. New development. Grateful to havfe them, though. Susan

I've had glasses since my early 20s. I now have bifocals, but I can see better up close without my glasses and you will frequently see them on top of my head when I am reading or at the computer.

I can't see a darn thing anymore without my glasses. Can't read labels, see the ATM pad, the debit card machine at checkouts and forget about reading a book or blogging. I haven't quite eaten calamari and frog legs in error though. That's hysterical.

You'll still be beautiful with glasses! AND you'll be able to see. I have reading glasses and everyday glasses with progressive lenses which I have never completely gotten used to (and so don't wear all the time). It's been nearly 4 years since my last eye doc visit. I guess it's time for me, too. *sigh*

Well, Linda...I'll be happy to find out about your eye doctor visit, etc. I can't imagine going through life not being able to see!! I've worn glasses since I was in the 5th Grade. Wore contacts for many years in my 20s and 30s and then went back to glasses. I LOVE them, for various, obvious reasons....but do you know what a surprise benefit you'll also have?? They cover up the wrinkles and/or bags under your eyes! (I'm not saying you HAVE those....I'm just saying they cover up MINE!)

That's so funny what you ate... get some glasses as it's not the worst thing in the world.

Okay, let me try that again. My daughter's boyfriend recently got glasses. One of his eyes was very strong, the other weaker. When he put on the new glasses, he was amazed at his much sharper vision. May you be equally thrilled with your "new" eyes, Linda!

There's nothing more aggravating than having to dig for my reading glasses to decipher a price tag. Now, I've the added indignity of Motor Vehicle requiring me to wear glasses when I drive.

Move over Mr. Magoo!
