Keep your nose clean!

I wrote about this on Facebook yesterday when I discovered something about myself.

I hate taking any medication, and I have never done drugs, unless you consider dark chocolate a drug. And I could never snort cocaine or any other thing, not even dark chocolate!

I opened a brand new container of orange flavored Metamucil and snorted a cloud of Tang dust up my nostrils. It nearly did me in. My first instinct was to flush my nose, but something in me said, "NO! What if you cause a gelatinous clog?" I blew, I snuffled, and I swore I would never open a container under my own nose ever again. Just a warning to all of you.

This morning I received an acceptance from Prairie Times, an out of town publication, for October. I've submitted a lot of work, but acceptances are not pouring in. Just doing the happy dance and sending a warning to all of you to keep your nose clean!

Linda--I'm sorry about the near nasal clog, but congratulations on the acceptance. I think some publications have slowed down due to the virus, but I could be wrong.

I'm sure Sasquatch would have given you mouth-to-nose recussitation, if need be... ;)

Congrats on your acceptance. Sorry about your near-clog. I have done that when snipping open a packet of Great Value Sugar Free Cherry Limeade powder. At least I can just snort it back out, since it's not made to soak up moisture. Looks like a nosebleed, though!

Congrats, Linda! You are the poster gal for Keep on Keeping On! I had to laugh at your nose problem (sorry!) because I've done similar things over the years. My newest one was at work, in the kitchen area, while the BOSS was there, too, and others. The big plastic coffee can of Folgers was almost empty, so I got a new one from the closet. I decided I wanted to get a good sniff of that fresh coffee when I opened it, so when I pulled back the foil just a little bit, I sniffed really big and coffee grounds went up my nose! Thus, a bit of a coughing fit...

Metamucil, the nectar of the aged. (Speaking as one who appreciates a little extra fiber!)

But not good for snorting. No, not at all.
