I WON!

Seriously folks, let's get serious here. I receive all sorts of junk mail and spam, and I am sure you do too. I was amazed to learn that my email was chosen as the winner of 5 million dollars, (I wasn't chosen, mind you, but my email was). I'm sure the check will be made out to Hewey Packard.

I've been awarded free i pads, pods and pretty much any other i-thingy out there.
I've received requests to allow guest bloggers to write about (you name it, and a lot of it is nutty!). I've been "solicited" by those who cannot write a complete sentence, use English or grammar correctly, but who think I am the most gorgeous creature on earth after viewing my profile. Creature? Makes me wonder if I should update my photo.

My latest win cracked me up: an internet massage. Now what do you suppose, a gentle stroking of my keyboard keys? A hot stone on my mouse? Deep pressure on my monitor? A warm cloth across my screen? No one is touching my tower!

Have you received any offers or amazing wins lately?

Yes, I keep getting an email where they're requesting my address so they can send me a laptop that I've "won." I haven't responded.

If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.

I simply ignore them, but after reading your post maybe I should browse through them as well!

Yes, I recently won so many pounds deposited in a London bank. I know. I was excited too. :P

Isn't it exciting. Yesterday I received a call to do a short 30 second survey and for doing so I would receive a cruise that had been so generously donated by one of their sponsors! How gullible do they think we are.

You just don't know how lucky I am! I've been the 1,000,000th visitor at numerous web sites! Sometimes, they even announce my status aloud when I open the little window on the PC.

I'm still waiting for my mail carrier to deliver my iPad, laptop and 32-inch LCD TV - maybe they should have sent everything via UPS, because they're all late in arriving.

Love it! And I seem to be the sole beneficiary to millions of dollars from Nigeria every couple of weeks.

Do you ever wonder if it will be the Boy Who Cried Wolf scenario, and one day there might be a real win that's not believed?

Because my land-line is the business phone, I can't block calls and I get tons of phone solicitors. I usually hang up, but if I am in a playful mood I will play along and let them think they have hooked one.

Ha ha ha Linda, tell us about that Internet massage! So funny.

Well, I definitely wised up about winning offers after I "won" a free laptop....or at least thought I did. It was a hoax and today, many, many, MANY months later, I'm still getting spam...thousands and thousands of span resulted because of my ignorance.

But now I know better (guess I just really wanted a new laptop..ha ha ha) and I'm GRATEFUL for span filters. Take care, Linda. Susan

Not me. My messages usually start out with, "You may already be a loser..."

Hi Linda -

LOL! I get these emails all the time. Of course, the small print tells me I may have to meet some requirement or buy something.

Blessings,
Susan

Not much since I cleaned out my 5PAM folder. But people have been overheard to say, "You're such a winner!"

I 'won' a 1000 dollar shopping spree at Good Guys Electronic Store; or so said the message on my cell phone. I was wary, so I didn't respond and took the phone into the store to see what they say...alas I didn't really win! I was so looking forward to buying new lenses for my camera...

Hmmm. . .I thought I left you a comment on here already. Guess it didn't take. Here it is again. :D I get so many e-mails from foreigners who can't wait to give me money. AND they call me Dear One, and Most Beloved. The scary thing is that this tactic must work or they wouldn't continue. I feel sorry for the people who get scammed.

Wow, I'm impressed! All I ever get is ads for Viagra!

I'm with Tammy - although most stuff I just delete and don't even read.
